Government Internal Audit Agency
The GIAA work as part of HM Treasury to improve the quality of internal audit provided to central government. They work across many interesting sectors including business, energy, industry and defence. Their investigators cannot only be found in offices but also inside helicopters I was told!
This commission came directly from the GIAA, I pitched for it and was really pleased to win the work. At first I wondered what the shoots would be like because the audit agency sounds fairly dry as a subject matter. But surprisingly they were a really lovely client to work for. The shoots took place right across the UK, in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and Newcastle. The offices were often new and modern and the employees were friendly and interesting to chat to, and more importantly, they were all willing and eager to be photographed. It was an enjoyable shoot to be involved in, I went back a year later and my images were printed on a huge exhibition stand in the London reception which was really satisfying to see then being used so well!
