Eden Dock campaign
Continuing my relationship with the team at Canary Wharf, I was asked to shoot their latest campaign to showcase the new floating pontoon on Middle Dock. This was a partnership project between Canary Wharf and The Eden Project to create a waterfront oasis of interconnected floating pontoons.
It was in construction and planning for a number of years but was finally completed last autumn. It has completely transformed the area directly outside the tube station and is a wonderful calm space to sit, work or have lunch and relax. On the launch they had live music and it was packed with people enjoying the new space.
The campaign images were shot before the dock was open on one of the hottest days of the year. A Saturday in September which saw a heat wave. Just to make the shoot more complicated it was also the same day as ‘The Big Half’ marathon which passes through Canary Wharf and past Eden Dock. The weather was perfect though, to show the space off in its best light!
With a crew of 20+ people including models, the agency Sister London, stylists, make-up artists, the clients from Canary Wharf and a videography team. It was great campaign to be involved with, and I love working on these larger shoots, where the pressure is high!
